Staks! East Memphis

Eating breakfast was absolutely amazing that had a lot of taste. we just waited 30 minutes to get a place and the price was reasonable for how delicious it tasted. would come back! amazing atmosphere!

Food was good, unfortunately not as impressive as the 1st visit in Oct. Must have been a different cook. Will return 1 more time to see if just a bad cook on last visit. Atmosphere is good.

I visited here today for brunch and was slightly let down. I must honestly say that the reviews are a little overrated. My food was warm, but not hot. It was definitely not the best brunch I’ve had but it wasn’t bad either. Just okay, but I should mention that I did not try their pancakes today, so I can not speak on those. The service was amazing and friendly. The bathrooms were clean. You have to place your order at the counter and seat yourself. I also noticed that there’s a little rush and a line at the door. Overall not a bad place but nothing too fancy if that’s what you’re looking for.

We ordered at 11:40am on a Sunday. We waited an hour for our food to arrive. One of the servers let us know that they were out of biscuits, but waited to bring the rest of our order. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes. They were sweet, as expected. The shrimp and grits were not good at all. The grits were very grainy and the shrimp had a bad after taste. The peach bellini was okay. The chicken and biscuit was good. Overall, I wouldn’t go back to Staks.

Honestly, I would not go back here. The staff was nice. My cappuccino was good. Everything else left something to be desired. My food was not as pictured on the online menu. It took a very long time and was just ok. The glaze on my pancakes was more like a thick jelly. There are better options for breakfast.
