Sing Lay Chinese - Memphis

The chicken and broccoli dish had a good flavor, but there wasn't enough broccoli and the sauce was lacking. I also tried the pepper beef and chicken, but the chicken was undercooked. They seem to be trying hard, but they could definitely improve their offerings.

I drove all the way from East Memphis just to eat at your restaurant, and I was really looking forward to it.

Sing Lay used to be an excellent Chinese restaurant. We've been regulars for years, enjoying the humble yet incredibly delicious food they offered. Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. The egg rolls now taste like old cabbage and lack any meat; they’re tiny compared to the large portions we used to get. The rice is unappetizing, and it seems they’re cutting corners with their ingredients while charging excessively high prices. I won’t be dining there again! There’s no way this place deserves a 5-star rating anymore!

I had been craving Chinese food so my lady friend suggested this place. I got the shrimp fried rice (my go to) and some chicken wings. They were fantastic! She got an order of lo mein that she enjoyed. It was difficult to find but worth the hunt. I now have a go to place for Chinese food again since my old standard shut down because of the pandemic. I'm happy again!

Ordered Hot Sour soup. 2 egg rolls, and a combination beef pepper and sweet n sour chicken with fried rice!
