The food ,the ambience, everything was perfect. We had the Gomen Besiga and beef tips. Would definitely come back.
I cannot recommend this place enough. The Njera (pancake looking bread) is fresh and delicious. My favorite is always the vegetarian options but the meat items are good too. The place is lovely and unique. Please be aware that the custom is to serve everyone's plates in the same dish, However this time they did ask us if we wanted it separate, and of course the respectful and culture aprópiate thing to do is to keep it as it's traditionally served, snd eat together. I had their freshly homemade coffee, was very yummy, no need for cream.
Best service and kindest staff in memphis. Food is consistently delicious, hot, and fresh. Portions are huge, and price hasn't increased in years. Red lentils are to die for. On top of it all they spoil my daughter every time we go. She is 10 and says she wishes could eat Ethiopian every day. More restaurants could learn from the owners of this restaurant. I've never felt more welcome than here.Vegetarian options: I consistently order the vegetarian plate. It's wonderful. 3 types of lentils, greens, rice, potatoes, and beets. I add a side of goat cottage cheese to mine, so good. It cuts the spiciness if that's your thing.Kid-friendliness: They love making sure my daughter enjoys her food and she leaves with a big hug.Dietary restrictions: Veggie and gluten free options.
Fantastic. I had the spicy beef tibs! Wonderful. Chef/Owner Yelena treats me like a king. Big portions, delicious! I'll be back!
