TCB was our destination for daily Happy Hour 4P-7P due to the welcoming bar staff easy priced out $5 wines/beers with complimentary bar snacks. I spent most of my time chatting with Christian, the Bartender who was working upon each of my visits. talk about upscale accommodations, the Assistant GM Terrance, made his stop by's to ensure guests employees alike were well taking care of. So well that he had the sister restaurant across the hall make me a huge salad with the entire garden in it as there was nothing on Bar Menu for the V Crew. I always appreciate the xtra accommodations to ensure I can partake in something besides Wine. The Peabody Hotel is surrounded by massive restaurants bars, yet the prices service here won us over.
Came in for happy hour...$5 wine and well cocktails. No tab, only had one round. Drinks were fine but service less than expected in a fine hotel bar. Asked for check and paid $12 tab with a twenty.....waited and waited for change. Finally had to go to bar to get it...think waitress was expecting an 80% tip!! Beware.
The drinks were great and the ambience was very nice. No wait staff so all drink orders had to be placed at the bar with only one bartender working . Luckily it wasn't too much of a wait. We only had drinks, no food. My husband was very pleased with the Manhattans. I had a lemon drop and a Rubber Ducky Cocktail. The rubber ducky was made with Malibu rim, creme de banana, pineapple juice, orange juice and a cute little floating rubber ducky.
A big shout out to Mary for taking care of us and letting us stay a little longer while she cleaned.... got to visit with old friends
This place has really went downhill. My theory is that the Peabody sends the employees that they want to fire, who already have two strikes, to this bar. The sub-par service at this place is only matched by the sub-par food. See my pictures of the sliders and cheese plate I recognize that the Peabody has this place as a low-cost option but, if we 're going to have the Peabody name attached to it, You 've got to have certain standards. I would have given them only one star, but it is a nice atmosphere and a nice view out the window
