Memphis Chess Club

We had a fantastic time! The atmosphere is very charming and quaint. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and play a game of chess.

I stopped by for breakfast and truly wished we could linger for a few hours. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of open and cozy, featuring an assortment of books, games, and ample seating. Plus, you can play chess here, as the tables have built-in chess boards. The food is fantastic too, with a variety of breakfast and lunch choices. This is our final stop before leaving Memphis, and it beautifully wraps up an incredible weekend in this unique city rich in music and history.

What a gem in downtown! I absolutely adored the interior, especially the stunning exposed columns. It's a cozy and unique spot with friendly service and a variety of healthy food options. They also have a great selection of tea, and of course, chess! The highlight of the evening was the musical performance by Wade Clay!

I'm not a member of the chess club, but we decided to stop by for a casual afternoon lunch. The atmosphere was unique and relaxing. The food was decent, with options like sandwiches, pizza, salads, and coffee. However, the seating is somewhat limited for families, as most tables are set up for two (for chess). While there are larger tables available for groups of more than two, many of them were occupied by people studying or working, and they weren't consuming anything. This was a bit frustrating for our family, as we were looking for a place to sit.

I can't recommend this place highly enough! Everything from the food to the atmosphere and membership offers is fantastic! And did I mention the library? That's right—this place has a library! You can enjoy a cup of coffee, indulge in a pastry or cookie, eat pizza, play chess, and even read a book! It's a perfect spot for a relaxing experience.
