Knifebird Wine - Memphis

I came here with a friend and had been wanting to try this place for some time. We were there early enough for happy hour and we both had the house wine flight for $9. Three 3 oz pours of a red, rose and a white. I enjoyed the wine. I ordered the house small charcuterie board and it was very underwhelming. I was looking forward to what the chef was going to prepare, as there were a nice list of meats. But what I was served was simply salami. I mean salami? What happened to those other gorgeous sounding meats? There were two rows of thinly sliced salami. I mean, you could’ve given me one row of salami, and one row of something else. There were two types of hard cheeses, drizzled with balsamic, which were good. But not exactly cut to go on crackers. Three very small pickles, and four maybe five very small almonds. Plus six or seven gluten-free crackers. Very underwhelming indeed. For $16. My thought was, where was the rest of it? It would’ve been better if it was served with olives instead of pickles. The pickles just didn’t go with the rest. And some kind of spread would’ve been nice. Like a mustard. Or a little thing of olive tapenade. I might be back for the happy hour flight of wines. But will be sure to eat beforehand.

Hands down we recommend this place and will be returning.We met up with some friends and family (there were five of us). They seated us at the front table and it was very comfortable for our group.As we did arrive prior to happy hour ending we were able to take advantage of the happy hour specials. Best deal is the House Special which includes a bottle of the house wine and a medium house board. They rotate the house wine being offered and I believe it was the touriga franca/tinto ruiz, which we all loved.Additionally we ordered other boards, the deviled eggs, garlic and herb cheese spread and several different bruschetta.If you go I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Great place if you've been a big wine drinker or if you're just starting out. They have a variety of wine flights with different themes and the food is also pretty good.

Always a great experience! I love the sweet wine flight. We typically order and share several bruschettas, a salad, and a board. Service is always superb and well staged.
