Jack Pirtle's Chicken - Memphis

As a native who grew up on Jack Pirtle's, I was not impressed with my recent visit. The food lacked the seasoning that would typically make you want to lick your fingers. I was very disappointed and hope they bring back the original recipe. On the plus side, the drive-thru service was convenient and the food was served piping hot.

The restaurant is typically busy, but the drive-thru line moved quickly this time. The food was hot and fresh.

My wife really enjoys the chicken livers here. Despite having to drive to two different locations due to long, slow-moving lines, we were finally able to get the dish we came for.

The food was dry, and nasty. It was too early in the day for the bone to be black. The clerk also appeared to be irritated and basically ignored us. She was taking other orders while serving us at the same time. I threw the food away.. Buyer beware.

They were very busy but the line moved very quickly and the family pack worth the money and you get gizzards and livers nobody does that.. Great place..best sweet tea
