Huey's Southwind - Memphis

The onion rings at this restaurant are quite unique – they are large in size, but the flavor is just average. The burgers were tasty and the chili was decent, although slightly too salty. The staff was friendly and there is a special activity that customers can enjoy at Huey's – blowing a toothpick onto the deck with a straw. We tried it and it was a fun experience!

Last night I had a terrible experience at Huey's Southwind due to a bartender named Erin who was acting racist. My friends and I ordered drinks but they were not made correctly, so we politely pointed it out to Erin. He responded rudely and spoke to us disrespectfully about our order. He then singled out one of my friends, speaking down to her like she was a child. When we asked to speak to the manager, he initially tried to help but Erin continued to be disrespectful. The manager then offered us free drinks if we moved to a table away from the bar, but we decided to leave due to the negative experience. When we went to pay, the manager said he would take care of it and offered us more free items if we stayed, but we declined. We were unhappy with the service and treatment we received. I have been a regular customer at Huey's Southwind for years and would like this issue to be addressed by the corporate office to prevent similar incidents in the future. I hope for a resolution to this situation as I hate to stop supporting a restaurant I have enjoyed. Please address this matter promptly.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and frequent it often. We have always experienced good service in the past, but on this occasion, it seems like they were short-staffed. The waitress we had was not very friendly or welcoming. When we asked for a clean table, she suggested we sit at a table that had already been cleaned off while she was wiping it. She also seemed to be much friendlier and more attentive to the white family sitting behind us. We left a tip, but unfortunately, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

I have been going to this Huey’s ever since it opened. The food is good and the service is friendly and awesome. They always stop by to make sure that my food came out right, that it tastes good and to see if there is anything else I need. A shout out to a few of the employees there: Kristen, Ari, Emma, Crystal, Matt, Kenny, Brian and Jimmy. Thanks!!!
