Belmont Grill - Memphis

This restaurant has been a staple in Memphis for many years and is cherished by many locals. However, after revisiting it for the first time in years, I was disappointed and don’t plan to come back. While most of the food was decent, I was surprised to find there was no beer on tap, and I found the prices to be quite steep—$11.75 for a sandwich without any sides is a bit much. Our server was incredibly friendly and provided great service, but I felt that the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, particularly from the bartender or whoever she was. I understand why many regulars appreciate the place, but it just didn't resonate with me.

Voted the best burger and onion rings in Memphis, this place also serves fantastic fried chicken livers. The staff, including Brenda, Gracie, and Nina, make you feel right at home!

Delicious! The bacon-wrapped chicken livers, French dip, and onion rings were all outstanding. The atmosphere had a cozy neighborhood bar feel, with 70's rock music playing in the background. Our server was incredibly kind, making the experience even better. I can't wait to return, and we also ordered some ribs to go! We didn't have reservations at Houston's at 4:30 on Tuesday, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made!

I’m so glad we opted for the daily special! The prime rib sandwich accompanied by a side of lobster mac and cheese was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding!

We’ve been loyal customers at the Belmont for over 20 years, and they’ve truly mastered a comfortable routine. The menu doesn’t change much, which is nice, as they offer a great variety that caters to everyone’s taste. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and it’s absolutely delicious! On top of that, they have a well-stocked bar. We always have three go-to restaurants in town for those days when neither of us feels like cooking, and the Belmont has never fallen out of our top three favorites.
