Blend Cafe and Pizza Bar - Melville

Had a very nice breakfast and coffee here. The atmosphere is great and staff very attentive and friendly. Chef came around to check how our food was which was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend.

Went for dinner with 8 people spent close to $450. Food was lovely but the service was terrible! Had to raise my hand all night to get service. We were offered drinks at the beginning and ordered entrees but then had to put hand up...and ask to order more drinks and to have our plates cleared. Then had to put hand up to order mains. Followed by asking to have our plates cleared. Then ask to see dessert menu and order more drinks! Not once did a staff member check on us throughout the whole evening. Sad for them as it was a loss of money to their business. Obviously very poor management as no one had sections and several times staff walked past our table saw dirty plates and left them. Their focus was to wipe down empty tables and put water glasses on instead. Funny I thought customer service was the main point of hospitality! No wonder the restaurant was pretty much empty on a Saturday night. It was also sad to see several tables leave throughout the night with the main plates still on table once the had left and paid their bills. I told the manger about my disappointment and was then spoken too in such a patronizing way and a couldn’t care less attitude!! Hence to say we will NEVER return!! A real shame as it use to be such a good restaurant when the previous owners owned the place. All of our guests could not believe the attitude of the manager which as far As I can see will be detrimental to this business.!!! Thanks to the Chefs though as the food was lovely… a real shame the front of house have let you down…

Blend's coffee used to be outstanding and food was great. Today's coffee was undrinkable and the cafe was very quiet, when it was always buzzing. Staff were very nice though. This must be under new management. I won't be back unfortunately.
