We came here at 16:42 on Sunday. The lady at the counter told us that they were closing at 5pm sharp and made it very obvious that we were not welcomed there. She literally said that she had to close at 5pm and did not want to spend time arguing with the customers who have not finished their cake. It was a bit of cultural shock , someone with such a behaviour and attitude should really NOT work in this type of business. Anyway, if you really want to have a nice cake and fantastic ice cream, I strongly recommend the patisserie just around the corner called Cake Art great service and they are open till 7pm :
You can see on the chairs that they will probably be really original, castle ones, maybe she would like to reupholster them . Otherwise, a rich selection of desserts, good coffee and also a wide selection of wines from Mr. Lobkowitz. I don't really need his wines, you can buy better ones in Mělník, but they are a nice souvenir for tourists.
Although the seating is of a castle, according to its condition, it still remembers Charles IV. You will find that the seats in the night public transport are actually not so bad. I also advise you to avoid cakes. Wasted money, 70 vočia for dry dough and cream made of artificial fats and dyes, I think it's a shame. I positively rate the service and the coffee.
Pleasant service and excellent desserts. Only the chairs were already taken.
