The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the wine was affordable. I have no complaints.
Great food. from a rindburger to a seafood pasta to a wellington steak and to a delicious imqaret with a gentle and very friendly staff. top notch
Eat them here with friends, eating were well prepared and service was impeccable.
The worst dining experience I've ever had in Malta by far.In the bottom of restaurants with the worst service I've ever experienced. The food was mediocre at best (if you don't count the two chicken supreme which were undercooked and running with blood.. hoping tonight doesn't result in food poisoning.)The fun all started when we spent minutes seated without even being able to order water (the restaurant was at less than capacity which tells you something about the godawful service to come). I eventually had to go to the counter after my partner twice caught the attention of one of the two ladies serving us (Angelika), who both times promptly turned her back and started talking to her workmate. I asked very politely if we could please order and got the kind of frosty response you'd expect if you asked a teenager to tidy their bedroom at ordered our food and drinks together since we'd been waiting so long. We had soups to start (my kids just had mains), which took a further minutes to deliver. My partner went to the counter to ask how long they'd be and the soups were already sitting on the side... I guess the conversation was more important than getting warm food. The soups were lukewarm, but we ate them without complaining (too English' I guess). We had asked them when ordering to bring the mains immediately after the soups (so to start cooking them straight away) as we have a sailing course to go to bright and early tomorrow... (I write this review still seething after just getting back from this APPALLING place). After more than an hour since first sitting down I finally complained about the service to our waitress, Angelika. Oh boy was that a mistake. I still cannot quite believe this, but she actually stood right over me and gave me a full volume lecture in front of all the other diners about this being a fine dining' restaurant, not KFC, and how if I knew anything about food I'd understand that I can't expect a high end meal in minutes. Now, not that it matters when a waitress is SO rude... but I've eaten in restaurants in more than countries... some of the best (and worst) places in the Tosca is not fine-dining... not by a mile.. not the food, not the service, not the ambience. No. Sorry. Just, We finally got our main courses an hour after we ordered them, during which time and my kids had nothing to eat except and warmed up supermarket mini-baguette with a sachet of Lurpak... very high end I'm sure. When our mains were finally delivered the chicken was undercooked and **** (see photos), the pasta was about minutes short of al-dente (and therefore pretty difficult to eat), and the vegan food was some awful, lukewarm, tasteless mush. When I pointed out the **** chicken to our other server, who was at least polite, she was most apologetic about it. However, Angelika then came over demanding to know what the problem was and tried to convince me that running blood was just grill marks. At this point I actually started to get quite annoyed at the awful attitude and said so, to which she simply laughed... literally laughed in my face, and walked off.Do not EVER go to this restaurant... and certainly not if you're going to have the misfortune of being served' by possibly the most rude person I've ever had the misfortune to come across when ordering. Trust me Angelika, you wouldn't last minutes in a KFC, let alone real fine dining.Oh.. and btw... we paid the full bill... I didn't even give her the pleasure of refusing to take bad food off since it wasn't offered (also pictured)
