Some got soup others got dumplings. Everybody enjoyed the meal. Service was a little slow, but don’t look like they had a lot of staff.
When we first arrived we waited at the end of the entrance as we didn’t know if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. We made eye contact with a female waitress and she looked at us and walked away, we then heard a guy from behind the sushi bar tell us it was seat yourself. Once sat we had a male waiter get our drinks and appetizer order. He was very personable and friendly. I remember making a comment to my husband that he’s a good waiter. Appetizers came out quickly. We then placed our main meal. The waiter was great with making sure we had plates and setups. Food was delicious and hot. About half way through our meal we asked for a refill on water and he must have gotten side tracked or busy with the sushi bar party that came in. So my husband went up to the sushi bar counter and the female waitress ignored him. And the guys behind the counter said that someone would be right over. So he came and sat back down. We finally got our refill but that was after we all had finished eating and were ready for a check. My husband got irritated but as someone that works in the same industry I know how easily it can be to get overwhelmed or forget things. Overall great place, we’ll come back and give it another try for sure.
Great food and service. Sushi was excellent. Kid-friendliness: They had these wonderful kid dishes and my granddaughter loved it.
I’d like to preface that our waiter was great. He was attentive and genuine. The food was okay. We started off with hot tea that was good at the start, but towards the end, had a lot of sediment. My partner and I shared a tom yum soup, that would have been good if it was advertised to be served with rice. The soup on its own was quite salty and strong in flavor. I ordered pad see ew, which was also on the saltier side, but the blandness of the cabbage balanced it out. It worked in this instance, but would have been better if I didn’t NEED to take a bite of cabbage with every bite of noodles. My cousin got chicken teriyaki, which they ran out of, and got upgraded to steak (at no extra charge, again, another point to the waiter). The vegetables were boiled, when we thought they would at least be stir-fried. The steak itself was not tender and below average. My partner ordered curry, and this dish was good. It was creamy and had good body to it. While I’m sure the waiter would have been happy to take the food back for adjustments, we had a two hour drive home and couldn’t wait for these changes. Overall, we unfortunately are not likely to return.
New to the area this was my 1st time here. So glad I didn’t read reviews first because the food was really good. Tasted so fresh with good sized portions. Had the ginger chicken entree. Will go again.
