Hamburger Mike's - Melbourne

My Husband and I have a monthly tradition of eating out. This month has been tough but we especially now need to take time for us. Anyway we decided on Mikes talked about it all day. Husband got home tired but we made the 25 min drive and placed a takeout order for a mushroom hamburger med and a classic cheese burger well done. When we arrived home I cut the cheese burger in half...**** moist rare mess of a burger. I am so disappointed it was a pricey meal of over $30. Called the restaurant didn't even apologize but suggested we drive 25 mins back and get another burger TONIGHT. My appetite is gone.Dinner ruined. My night ruined. Thanks for stealing my money. No CUSTOMER service. Lost my business

My friends and I discovered this little gem through Google. I ordered the black bean burger, and it was absolutely delicious! They initially ran out of fries, but they returned with a whole basket full! I'm definitely planning to come back on Friday for that beer special.

It may not be fancy, but a good burger is hard to beat in my book. With that in mind, I mentally prepared myself and headed OTB. Hamburger Mike 's moved into this location and changed absolutely nothing from the previous owners. NOTHING. The only thing they did do was put up a menu sign with grossly underrepresented pictures of food items offered. I asked them why and no one had a clue other than to tell me that Coca Cola gave them the sign for free. Free is almost always good. Sadly, the cashier is another in a long line of Gen Zers you see reluctantly working (because, you know, the world actually owes them something... and they always let the customer know how unhappy they are to be fortunate enough to have a job. I placed an order for a Southern childhood staple of a Fried Bologna Sandwich, a Cheeseburgers with the works and a side of fries. While awaiting my order, I noticed that the place was empty, though exceptionally clean. There was ample spacing, inviting lighting and a pleasing, relaxing décor throughout. I found the Fried Bologna Sandwich to be a perfect example of one of my childhood favorites. It was served flawlessly toasted white bread, crispy iceberg lettuce along with sliced onions and garden fresh tomatoes and impeccably fried...in one bite I was 7 years old again. Fun! The Cheeseburger was hand formed and immaculately prepared. Served with crispy iceberg, fresh Onion, tomatoes and some pickles on the side, it was all a Cheeseburger aspires to be. The fries were freshly cut, deep fried to a golden outside and had that just right doneness on the inside. The cook was on fire today! Hamburger Mike 's is the epitome of The Big Boy 's philosophy on serving food to the public. Great food doesn 't require anything other than someone who cares about food to prepare, cook and serve it. And they obviously had this in spades. Whoever does the hiring here, deserves a raise. The Big Boy says, If you are going OTB or live on the mainland and are looking for a better than average burger, or a good ole fashioned Fried Bologna Sandwich, Hamburger Mike 's is the place to go! #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout

Ordered a patty melt and fries and it's worth every penny. An incredibly fresh burger with perfect onions on thick toast. The burger was juicy beyond measure and really hit the spot.The fries the self taste home made similar to those fries you'd get at the fair as a kid.They offer a daily lunch special, and they've got discounts on Thursdays for veterans and first responders, and it's a solid 25% off too.Definitely worth the walk too if you're in downtown Melbourne. Another fantastic local restaurant.

I spent $30 on two burgers, two fries, and two Cokes. Everything was decent except for the meat, which tasted stale—almost expired. I wasn't impressed with the burgers, though the fries were excellent. Overall, I found it to be overpriced given the quality of the food. I had been eager to try the burgers here for a while, but I won't be coming back.
