Alte Bank Cafe - Meersburg

This restaurant is popular with locals who like to sit outside. The interior is an old banking hall with a high ceiling. Food is good and wholesome with large portions and service is friendly and efficient.

Very good food, traditional, sometimes with a modern twist. Personnel was very cooperative about a lactose-free option. Lovely to sit outside in the evening as is not crowded, in a beautiful square facing the Neues Schloß.

The Alte Bank is a great place to stop on a cold windy day and have a nice hot coffee and pastry. This place is centrally located and good to sit and just watch the people go by.

Wine selection poor, limited local wine, and choice on menu hardly original. Disappointed as looks impressive opposite the palace.

Had a chance to stop in Meersburg for lunch on our way to Fussen and glad we did. We were in Germany for two weeks traveling on vacation to four different cities / towns, and one of the best meals we had during our stay was at the Alte Bank Cafe. The food was over the top good, and the staff was very friendly. This is one of those places that you would actually travel back to just to eat and relax. I would definitely recommend the town of Meersburg, the Castle and, the Alte Bank Cafe to anyone.
