The small beach parking lot offered free parking, but there were no toilets as mentioned on the website. Despite the busy day due to the sunny weather, we had a pleasant experience exploring the area and later decided to grab some chips from the nearby shop and enjoy them on the beach. Although the beach wasn't sandy, it still provided a nice spot for swimming and paddling.
A lovely stroll by the seaside with clean, fresh air. A great spot for a picnic. Parking is easily accessible at the end of the main road in the village, although it could use some upkeep.
Parking near the beach can be challenging, but we were able to find a small lot by chance. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed a coastal hike with few other people around. However, there didn't seem to be any seaside amenities available.
Beautiful small coastal walk along the way, or even along the beach I would feel them super agile, beautiful park house next to the entrance, we went on a weekday, so parking was barely full, but can be at the weekend, path and beach were clean and many am on the way
It's a relatively quiet coastal walk alongside the Thames estuary and in this particular area of the estuary, the semi-industrial landscape. The massive Grain LNG terminal is the backdrop to the park to the south and Sheerness port to the east. The car park is ample for the number of visitors at this time of year and it's free. The car park is unpaved, very uneven and isn't disable or buggy-friendly. The car park has height restriction barriers in place (1.9m) and is unsuitable for roof-mounted cycles. The path right next to the sea is concrete and suitable for cycles (you'll just need to manoeuvre around the fishermen). Off the concrete path cycling is possible with the right bike. Take your binoculars with you. We saw a few different bird species other than the usual ones. Flora wasn't particularly inspiring one day before meteorological spring starts. Give it 10 days to a fortnight for a bit more to spring into life. There are several picnic tables dotted about if you want to take a picnic. Just bear in mind that there are ZERO facilities on site. No coffee/tea/food. No toilets. You'll have to follow the example of the local fishermen and dive into the bushes for a pee.
