The mac and cheese with brisket was pretty good. I appreciated that they served sliced brisket instead of shredded, but the ratio of meat to fat was about 50/50.

We stopped in for lunch today, and unfortunately, it turned out to be our first and last visit. I should have taken it as a warning when we noticed there was only one BBQ sauce on offer. If you're going to provide just one sauce, it really needs to be exceptional—and sadly, it wasn't. All four of us ordered pulled pork, which was just okay; it lacked smokiness and seasoning. A good BBQ sauce could have made a significant difference. The fries were similarly lacking in flavor—no seasoning at all. Everything tasted flat, with no real depth of flavor. Given the prices here, we expected an amazing meal, but it fell short. On a positive note, our waitress was quick, sweet, and kind, which was appreciated.

We visited the restaurant for dinner this evening with my wife and son on a Thursday night. We were seated right away, and our server was attentive, bringing our meals out promptly. The ribs and wings were quite good, and the cornbread was decent—no complaints there. However, the brisket was quite disappointing; it was dry and tough. I also expected more from a place associated with a brewery, but when I asked the server about their beer selection, she simply pointed to a sign that listed a few mass-produced options alongside one or two house brews, without offering any further details or recommendations. Overall, it was a decent meal, but given the prices, I expected more.

Took the family for dinner tonight at Lager Heads, and I'm very glad that the 25 min drive didn't disappoint. The baked beans and hushpuppies were my favorite things, but the sloppy pulled pork sandwich was also very good, and the humongous piece of carrot cake was moist, flavorful, and delicious. Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!
