Thaico - Medellín

We spent an evening in this restaurant and were really upset about the food they offered. The drinks were as usual but they didn't have water!!! The meals are in Really big sizes but the taste wasn't good at all. I had a phad Thai...and the peanuts were Really old, the sauce was just like soya with water and the noodles were not really good cooked and still hard. The teriyaki beef wasn't good at all too. The location was quite good at a nice place in El poblado.

The food was ok but it tasted more like Chinese food and it was overpriced. The place was so dark I couldn't even read the menu. the waiters tip themselves with the change,they took a 30% tip for a regular service.

Ok I think you have to ask... But ask the server if the menu is 50% off. We ask every time and every time he says yes accept for the house specials. I think it is Mon Fri until 7pm. If he...says no get the 2 for 1 local beers and walk on. BUT if it is 50% off we have had some of the stir fry dishes and the filet and the grilled chicken dishes. For 1/2 off it really is not bad. Actually I recommend the stir fry as it is sorta tough to screw up. But all the other stuff has been pretty good. One thing to note they apparently don't have another setting for the music. There is really loud and even louder. Somehow after we sit down it always seems to creep up and up. We have used our best Spanish to ask nicely to lower it a bit but no change. So we skip this place when we want to meet friends and chat.

A nice place to have some genuine thai food. Food quality is good and prices are ok. The staff does not speak english though. There is a happy hour from 12-8pm and it is really good value for money to have a nice meal and...few drinks.
