English speaking staff on service always. I recommend this restaurant still very, as the atmosphere is over captivating and good is amazingly tasteful.
Cold service. Expect issues to pay. A MasterCard accepted everywhere else in Medellin wasn't there, and I had to walk to a cash machine under escort, to give... cash. Of course. Stay away.
We had been hearing good things about this restaurant, so, we decided to go two days ago. It was a sporadic thing, my husband and I were taking a stroll and decided to give it a try. Even though we had no reservations, the staff was accommodating and showed us to a nice table. We were impressed by the architecture and the beautiful decoration of the place. The server was excellent! Not only was he quite good at what he does, he also was quite knowledgeable about the foods and wines he serves, a rare treat in Medellin where the majority of servers don't fully know the foods they serve. His recommendations were spot on! We both loved all the things we ordered. From the wines, to the appetizers and the entrees, everything was amazing. My octopus Carpaccio was amazing, the marisco soup was superb. And the atmosphere quite pleasant. We actually sat at the bar overlooking the gardens outside. The only complain comes from the unpleasantness of having to look at the dirty area next to the bar where staff receive food deliveries. There should be something separating the bar from that area behind the kitchen so that those sitting at the bar don't have to see that. Other than that, our experience was wonderful. We recommend this place highly. It's quite expensive though.
Be careful! Everything was ok until we ordered a little Tiger milk, since flavour was too simple. When the check came finally, the mini small portion of Tiger milk was charged almost the same price of the complete meal. We felt cheated! We will never be back!
We visit Piqueo regularly with our children to enjoy some delicious Peruvian food. If you do not have a reservation come here early when they open at 7.00 PM. We usually share the Piqueo platter for two person and a squid (black) rice. Order it with a Pisco Sour classic drink and don't forget to finish the meal with a "suspiro de fresa" dessert. There is a Pizza place in front where you can buy a Pizza for your kids if they don't like Peruvian food and bring it along to Piqueo.
