The experience was excellent overall. I ordered a steak with fries and mayonnaise, which tasted delicious. For an appetizer, I had cheese croquettes, which were large and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick, and the bill was surprisingly reasonable. I am grateful to my friend for telling me about this place. -Thomas Vonck
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was recommended by my boss and although we walked a long way from the hotel, it was definitely worth it. The food was clean and well-presented, and the staff was friendly. Despite having a party of 11, the food arrived in a timely manner, following the European dinner strategy. I am looking forward to dining there again in the future.
We sat upstairs and it was nice and quite. Then a party on 20 men came in. We got our order in fast. House white French wine a hit at 6$ a generous glass. Then you get a little snack of a salmon mousse that was really tasty and unexpected. Nice touch. Wife had small sole fishes. Once we figured out how to filet them they were tasty. I had sea bass. Very well prepared with the best asparagus I've ever had. Nice dining experience. Good wait staff. They all helped each other look after the larger party as well as the small tables. Will go back. Patio looked nice for warmer weather.
Reliable and tasty. We have made an effort to go back. Nothing too special.... but good steaks. My husbands today was quite over cooked as 'medium ' shouldn 't be all brown/gray. Still i had the best mussels in my life today.
The restaurant has a bar area downstairs and the main dining area upstairs, with an outdoor terrace you pass through to enter. On sunny days, starting your night with a Belgian beer here would be pleasant. The foyer features a large fish tank with lobsters. The menu offers options such as smoked deer and cuckoo that caught my eye. I ordered the smoked deer as an appetizer, which was thinly sliced and served with berries and salad. The flavor wasn't overly smoky, allowing the taste of the deer to come through. The beef fillet I had for my main course was outstanding, served on a bed of vegetables with a side of frites. The cuckoo, ordered by someone in my group, received rave reviews. The crème brûlée for dessert was the weakest part of the meal as I didn't choose the option with ice cream and hot Belgian chocolate sauce. Overall, the meal was lovely, especially when paired with a French red wine.
