I would probably rate it 3/5 compared to other chicken tandooris I had from nearby Indian restaurants. The bigger the chicken, the less delicious it is. The chicken pieces were too big and could be why the spices did not go so deep in the pieces. Therefore the taste was more on the outer crust and inside it was not so moist and seasoned. If I speak about the goat/Mutton biriyani, I would probably be 3,5/5 according to my kind of tasting biriyani. Because I personally like biriyani, that's not so humid. The biriyani rice was moist with all spices. But I had biriyani in front of this restaurant, that was not so damp rather simple. The service was really good. The ambience was cozy. Prices seemed somewhat overpriced compared to other restaurants. Although I rated Tandoori 3/5 and goatbiriyani 3.5/5, I would rate the 4/5 overall. Because these reviews were according to my taste expectations that, I think, would differ from person to person. In short, we enjoyed the evening in Banana Blatt.
I’ve deducted one star due to some minor issues that need attention in certain areas of the establishment. Overall, the culinary experience was enjoyable. Here are some specific comments on our dishes: 1. We ordered the boneless chicken biryani, which contained pieces of chicken breast but was rather bland. The biryani itself was acceptable, but not exceptional. 2. The mutton biryani was quite good and had a regional flavor that we appreciated; we really enjoyed it without any discomfort. 3. The garlic naan was freshly made and tasted excellent. 4. Dishes such as the pomfret fry, chicken makhani, chicken 555, samosa chaat, and mango lassi were all quite good. In summary, while there were a few minor issues with some dishes, the overall experience was positive and enjoyable.
After a full day of adventure, we decided to treat ourselves with some Indian dishes. And I'd say Banana Leaf didn't disappoint us. The food was delicious, it had a beautiful presentation, exactly prepared according to our wishes of spices. We loved the onion Rawa Masala Dosa. It was huge, delicious and prepared with perfection. Proposal for the owner: If you prepare hakka noodles, please ask if someone likes ketchup with him or not. When you embellished the noodles with ketchup, it was too sweet for me.
Was the first time to visit this restaurant, loved the food. The food is really delicious and serving was also fast. We ordered cut-mirchi, Veg-kofta, Chili-garlic Naan. We chose spicy medium, the food had a good spicy taste. In any case, would recommend. The only thing that's small in the room.
We got the vegetarian biryani and the paneer tikka masala. Both tasted excellent and had good portions. The service is really attentive. They have lots of options for vegan, gluten free, and Jain. They will adjust the spiciness to your taste. I ordered the mild, which still had a little pepper in it but it wasn't exactly burning my mouth. I'm not sure if there's a no pepper option that I should've ordered instead. Definitely in my top 5 Indian restaurants, and I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants
