We came back from a wine tour and stayed in Meaux to look around. We stopped at Pio Pio Rico and had a wonderful experience. The owner, was very friendly, the food was very good. We came back the day before we found for the United States and found that the place was overcrowded could no longer hold people and ready to close. When the owner saw us, he made a table for us on the side. Such a fantastic person. The Lomo Saltado was very good, so the Pescado Frito was fabulous. They really made us feel at home. It was such a pleasure.
We came to Meaux for the Gothic cathedral that was in construction and found this small Peruvian restaurant next door. We went in and enjoyed the Latin sounds playing in the background and the warm face that greeted us at the door, the owner. He was amazing and the food was dying! We were so impressed that we talked about the rest of our trip and returned to dinner on the last day before our early morning flight!!!
If you have the chance to spend some time and enjoy dinner. Do not let yourself be distracted by the simple layout and decor. The excellent food and the beautiful wine selection will make you a visit. I will be back to quote someone completely irrelevant for this review. Okay, to wrap it up, it's really worth a visit!
The ceviche wasn't great, neither was the fish of the menu. We were there for a birthday and we had to cheer ourselves up and forget about the food. I think that the people who brought us there like the chicken dish there. So maybe...they need to reduce the number of meals on offer. Nice staff otherwise.
