It took well over thirty minutes for us to place our order and hours to complete our meal (with an year old present). It seemed as if the same server never came to our table. Our table was on the lower patio but we stared at a fence instead of the ocean we had to walk to the beach to see the sunset. The food was fantastic but the service and view left much to be desired compared with the many other seaside restaurants we dined at during the week
Our go-to spot on Anguilla. We go there annually Food is reliably good to very good. Lobster and shrimp cakes one of my favorite dishes anywhere. I always look forward to sharing the cracked coconut desert. More ice cream than usual this year. All the better
On our first visit to Anguilla for vacation, it was great to find such a lovely dining spot, right on the beach, and within walking distance from our hotel. The food was delicious--especially the fresh and tasty pasta appetizer. It was also nice having a pre-fixe dining option, a great value for a meal at
We have been here times in the past few years. food quality has gone down each time. i'm sorry to say we wont be back on our next trip to Anguilla. I love their cookbook and enjoy making many of their dishes at home. Unfortunately you can't overcook fish and other meats and just cover them with a sauce and make it all better. Our "fresh fish" seemed like it was sitting under a hot light at McDonalds far too long. Their sides were good though. I have no doubt they can improve their quality to what tt was in the past. but for the price it needs to be much better. try Veya for a treat
This was our third time at Blanchard's (having visited Anguilla about times) and sadly the food did not meet the memories I had from prior visits. On the plus side, the service is still outstanding with no less than different service staff checking in throughout the meal. The restaurant is on the beach and the sounds of the waves enhances the overall dining experience. The menu includes a good variety of options for appetizers and main courses covering all bases including vegetarian and gluten free. Also an impressive number of seafood options. That being said, given the number of terrific restaurants on the island with creative and outstanding menus, we thought the food was good not great. For appetizers we had the lobster/seafood/fish cakes which were over fried and greasy. For main courses we had the mahi mahi which was surprisingly dry, while slathered in a white sauce accompanied with a bland side of string beans showing very little effort. The wine list is extensive and terrific, which was certainly a saving grace. We did love the Blanchard's beach shack which we visited during the day and will certainly be going back to again
