The food quality is better than that of most office cafeterias, so I don’t think the prices are too outrageous. I can usually fill up for about $10, which is reasonable. Atmosphere: Think of it as a Wawa with a deli buffet. There are always salad options available, and the entrees change from time to time. Most of the dishes represent various Asian cuisines—like curried chicken, kimchi, orange chicken, and some barbecue—while the other side of the buffet features wings and fried chicken. I think it’s a pretty good deal. The place is quiet and cozy, and the service adds to the welcoming feeling. The only reason I deducted a star is due to the price in relation to portion size, as I’m not quite at “baller” status yet. Otherwise, it’s perfect for a quick meal!
I ordered the butter chicken lunch special, and it was the driest butter chicken I’ve ever had—there was no sauce at all. The salad wasn’t fresh either. I won’t be returning.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The warm welcome from the entire staff, the exceptional quality of the food, and the great value for the prices set it apart. I honestly can't find a single negative point to mention. My favorite is the double meat sandwich for breakfast, especially after a tough workout at the gym. Beyond all of that, I truly feel cared for as a person, which makes a huge difference. I'm a tough critic since I spent most of my career in luxury hotels, starting with Ritz-Carlton. When a place meets my high standards, you know it's something special. You definitely owe it to yourself to visit this gem!
**Note:** There is another Greensboro Cafe nearby. This one is the Greensboro CORPORATE Cafe, located on the P1 level of building 8405 on Greensboro Drive. **Breakfast Review** Eager to be one of the first to review, I visited the Greensboro Corporate Cafe (GCC) this morning for breakfast. The layout is typical of a small office food vendor but with some unique features. Upon entry, there is a self-service hot bar offering scrambled eggs, hash browns, home fries, and other breakfast items. In the main area, a friendly Asian gentleman greeted me with a cheerful "Good morning!" and pointed me to the breakfast menu, explaining the hot bar selections. Not in the mood for a large self-serve breakfast, I skimmed the menu and found some appealing options at very reasonable prices. They offered combos that included eggs, bacon or sausage, alongside your choice of French toast, regular toast, or pancakes. I ultimately decided on a simple breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese on whole wheat toast. While I waited for my sandwich to be freshly made, the gentleman who had greeted me shared that they also have a lunch buffet featuring a great variety of Chinese dishes and other hot items. A buffet? That certainly piqued my interest! I thanked him for the tip and promised to come back for that. When my sandwich arrived, it was a steal at just $2.82. It was served hot, made with a freshly cracked egg (not that powdered egg mix!), and the cheese was perfectly melted. The whole wheat bread was toasted just right, making for a delicious sandwich—especially for under three bucks! I expressed my gratitude to the gentleman and the kind lady who prepared my meal, confidently stating, “I’ll be back” as I left, channeling my inner Schwarzenegger. **Lunch Review** True to my word, I returned a few days later, proving I don’t make empty promises! I noticed that many people were ordering sandwiches, but I decided to be adventurous and go for the buffet. While not an all-you-can-eat setup, it was a pay-by-the-pound option costing about $6.89 per pound. My choices totaled $11.55. The buffet featured bulgogi beef, sesame chicken, stir-fried noodles, fried rice, white rice, cajun chicken, roasted turkey breast, and oven-baked potatoes. Here’s what I tried, along with my thoughts: - **Bulgogi Beef:** Tender and slightly spicy, but a bit too oily. - **Cajun Chicken:** Stir-fried chicken with veggies and spicy crushed pepper. A good option—not as oily as the beef. - **Stir-Fried Noodles:** Disappointing. The noodles were bland and could have used more veggies. The cabbage mixed in had a hint of kimchi flavor, which I enjoyed, though there was an oil pool at the bottom of the serving area. - **Sesame Chicken:** Standard fare—too sweet, heavy on the stomach yet sweet on the palate. - **Fried Rice:** Decent for a cafe, but not the best I’ve had. - **White Rice:** Pretty straightforward—white rice is white rice! One standout aspect of my visit was the exceptional service from the staff. I noticed that the Asian gentleman who had welcomed me during my breakfast visit knew all his regular customers by name. I heard him say things like, “Thank you very much, Robert, have a wonderful day!” and “Thanks, Samantha, it was great seeing you today.” Even the sandwich makers greeted regulars by name, asking if they wanted their usual orders. What a fantastic personal touch!
I really enjoy the weekly lunch menu at this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, and they offer some halal options as well. Everything I've tried has been delicious, including their tilapia, chicken salad, and bean soup. The salad dressing is absolutely amazing! However, the directions can be a bit tricky—it’s located inside the same building as Sports Health, not the one next door. Also, be aware that parking costs $4-$5 if you stay longer than 15 minutes, so it's a good idea to place your order ahead of time.
