Food was excellent and the only reason the service wasn't 5 stars was because only one guy (we thought he was possibly the owner) was working the entire front of house. He was struggling with 3 tables but he was getting it all done, just was taking a while to get it done. The atmosphere is really cool, take time to really look at it.
We went for dinner and absolutely loved the food! We had veg pakodas, chole bhature, paneer lababdar and dal makhani with naan, lassi, coffee and it was absolutely amazing! The taste was very homely and delicious. The ambience was great and the music (old Indian classics from bollywood) just added to the overall experience. The owner was very friendly and did everything with a smile on his face! I would highly recommend. Planning to get catering done for our next event from there.
My family and I have been coming to Indian Kitchen since it’s opened and it’s safe to say— it’s my favorite restaurant in Mckinney! Now we’d never tried Indian food before, but I can tell you that this place is absolutely delicious and an amazing introduction to the world of Indian cuisine. Our favorite dishes include the butter chicken, chef’s chicken curry, dal tadka, and bombay chicken biryani. I adore the raita and garlic naan for sides as well. Out of this world flavor, freshness, quality, perfect portions and just the right amount of spice. Every time we come in, we’re greeted by the owner who is simply the sweetest man, prepared to make sure you have the best experience. You can tell he takes great pride in his business. His wife is the chef and she is simply amazing at what she does. It’s always spotless. The wall art is very beautiful! They’re always making improvements to the set up. Recently, they updated the menu to include helpful descriptions as well as vegan/allergen labels. Please be patient as it is a small family business and there’s usually only 2 people serving, but trust me it is worth a little wait! One of the best treats here that we’ve experienced was coming in on Mother’s Day to an exceptional tray of delights. It included a sampling of different more “home style” foods as the owner explained. Simply outstanding! I can’t wait until they bring it back. I implore you to support this amazing establishment, you’ll probably see us there!
First time eating there yesterday. I ordered Chloe batura and the dish was very tasty and flavorful. Finally I have found a good North Indian restaurant.
