And what a lovely experience it was! Great acoustics in an intimate space. Ticket price included dinner and we chose the burger option which was very tasty! Steve and Megs run a very good operation: customer focused and with a keen eye for detail!
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's tasteful decor, combined with soft lighting and comfortable seating, created a cozy and intimate ambiance. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were prompt in taking our orders, provided helpful recommendations from the menu, and displayed a genuine passion for the food they served. Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients, bursting with flavours and beautifully presented. The menu showcased a diverse range of culinary delights, catering to various dietary preferences and offering something for everyone. What impressed me the most was the chef's ability to blend unique flavours and create innovative combinations that left a lasting impression. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a culinary adventure that satisfied both the palate and the soul. To complement the outstanding food, the restaurant boasted an extensive selection of wines and cocktails. The beverage menu was carefully curated, featuring a variety of options to perfectly pair with the meal. Overall, my visit to at the courtyard bistro theatre was truly exceptional. The seamless blend of impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and inviting ambiance made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a remarkable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend at the courtyard bistro theatre as a must-visit destination.
I have to be very clear that I write this with absolutely no bias. I performed at The Courtyard on Friday 3 November and I had the most amazing experience in their garden, that I have ever experienced as a muso. This was beyond a gig, it was a show. Absolutely everyone in that crowd was engaging and a huge inspiration for me. So, I guess, although I am not writing this in bias for The Courtyard, I understand it would seem that way, because I felt sooooo at home and welcomed by the good people of McGregor. To Steve and Meg, all I can say is WOW! From the stage, I could see Steve running around to all the customers amongst a sea of smiles. In the corner, Meg is pushing out her incredible pizzas! Truly the best pizza I have had. Everything is made by her and the Mozzarella sourced from a crazy Italian cheese maker in Somerset West. I felt the love in the air that night, but boy, when I tasted that pizza, I felt rhe love in my mouth. Just love everywhere. They are supported by amazing staff and you can see the family like team that completes it all. Thank you thank you thank you.
We've had three meals with Steve and Meg since they upgraded the venue, and it a warm, welcoming spot in McGregor. Service is excellent, background music is varied and perfectly suited for dining and conversation. Food is presented beautifully. They bring great names in local music to present shows on their own stage, but we also love to pop in there after a movie or show at Wahnfried theatre. Go McGregor, keep up the good work!
Had my birthday dinner here last weekend, beatiful warm atmosphere with kind staff, hosts and great food. I tried the Ragu, Malay Curry and Gnocchi all were exceptional especially the gnocchi. Thanks for the experience. Excited to return to McGregor hopefully in the near future.
