The General Lounge Cafe - MCCRAE

On a Friday night a group of 8 of us (all adults) ate her. We'd eaten here 12 months earlier and knew the place could be crowded and noisy so we'd booked a table. All went well. We each had a pizza; they're moderate in size so a single pizza (costing $14-20 approx.) suits one hungry person, or two people could share with addition of a side dish. The café was not busy, perhaps because there was no live music (none was scheduled until the Sunday). Table service by a mature woman was friendly and accurate. Pizzas came out two at a time, meaning service was a tad slow overall; presumably there are facility or staff shortcomings in the kitchen.

Had the best, surprising night at this little hidden diamond. Small & happening space, live music & people just jammed & danced, must be a local space. Great fun & happy friendly people, great vibe. Definitely go there again.

Lovely spot with beach across the road, we just feel sad that the food was so awful - overpriced, small pizzas with little flavour and too much gristle on the chicken. Could have been so much better.

Lovely friendly service. Great tapas. The ribs were amazing and the calamari so tender. Casual dining. Will definitely be back

A great place to hang on a Sunday avo. To catch up with friends or meet new ones., love this Local music venue offering great food & atmosphere.. Worth a visit for sure
