This place is a real gem for those of you who like to experience local places with true local flavor. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner after stopping for gas nearby and finding it in a search for nearby restaurants. Glad we did. True Iowa local items (fried tenderloin sandwiches) plus lots of other choices including a decent list of burgers. I opted for the daily special chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy and whole kernel corn (this is Iowa). All served cheerfully by the proprietor who, along with her husband, have owned the place for several years. Recommended

Nice little place. Good food. Our servers were not very attentive and forgot my salad and didn't say anything until I paid the bill. She gave me a free beer token. Food: 4/5
