Gonzales Seafood - Mayagueez

Went here with friends who recommended the place. The food for one took forever to come out. When it did it was cold and some dishes were lukewarm. The service took forever and the staff hardly made any returns to the table to check on us. The food was edible but not worth the wait, go somewhere else.

Great food. The arroz mamposteao the yuca the mofongo the arroz con mariscones. It's all good. The tostones de pana is also a treat. And very light on the salt so you don't get that dry mouth afterwards. I'm coming back even after I waited 25 mins for my takeout order. It's that good.

This restaurant was the perfect dinner to cap off our visit to Cabo Rojo. It's right on the water, with several tables outside so you can enjoy an amazing sunset and ocean breeze. The service was very good, and the food was wonderful. While you wait for your meal they bring out fresh bread with a seafood topping that was delicious I just can't remember if it was crab or fish. I had the red snapper in creole sauce and it was delicious as well. We enjoyed a decent bottle of wine for about $35. Overall very happy with our experience.

Exquisite food, nice service, good ambiance and beatiful bathrooms. Recommended to all.
