Although this place is expensive you do actually get a reasonably big portion, which is just what I needed before a 12 hour flight. The risotto were perfectly chewy, very umami and a nice comfort food before an in flight nap 5/5 Teriyaki Salmon: The other specialty of the house! (The risotto being the side order specialty of the house . I don 't think I have ever had salmon so perfectly cooked. I didn 't use any of the accompanying sauce because the salmon on its own was just dandy melt in your mouth to be precise. 5/5 Complimentary bread was the only less than satisfying component of the meal I had grown so accustomed to incredible French breads! These were hard little hockey pucks I ate one just because I needed the calories for my upcming Norwegian flight. Overall this is an expensive option, yes, but you get what you pay for in this regard. I have never had a more satisfying airport meal. Tip is included in the charge, but the waitstaff will ask you if you want to add more. I added 3 euro more because I am easily badgered into giving away my money : but that awkward exchange and the blah bread were the only downsids to the meal.
Wow. I had a 6 hour layover in Paris and made the tough decision to not leave the airport. I found information about Le Teppan online and luckily my flight was also leaving out of Terminal 1. It took a while to get service; lunch was just starting and the place was immediately packed. Once my order was taken the food arrived very quickly. I've never had such delicious food in an airport, the chef's Michelin experience shows. I had the teriyaki salmon with a side of mashed potatoes for 29€. It was worth every penny to have had such a fine meal. The salmon was flaky and cooked a perfect medium, I liked the balance of sweetness in the teriyaki. I'm a sucker for some pomme de terres and their mashed potatoes were so so rich and creamy. I left very satisfied.
All the service wasn't the first initially we had a very satisfying experience. The food came very quickly because of the Teppan-Yaki Japanese style of perfectly controlled temperature and intense fast cooking. I Was initially disappointed not to have french fries because their machine was down. But I would totally recommend the mashed potatoes and the risotto.Salmon was amazingly fresh and well balanced with the side accoutrements. The burger was huge and difficult to eat but extremely delicious. Although I was initially turned off by all the prices apparently it doesn't clued the service or gratuity in it. There's a decent wine list but unfortunately they don't have flights of wines to taste the different regions. This was a great French experience
I was so pleasantly surprised to find such good food at the airport! I had read in advance that Teppan was the place to go if a meal was needed in terminal 1 at CDG. I generally prefer to eat light before travel and lean towards vegetarianism, so I chose two sides, the risotto and the vegetables. The presentation was beautiful, the service was friendly, and for 10€ I had the perfect pre-flight meal.
Went here during a layer over, wanted French fries was told there were no fries and was offered a salad instead. The audacity to offer me a salad instead of French fries, not even offered mashed potatoes. Food was over priced and not good service. Go through security and get food then do not eat here.
