Sonnenhof - Mauerstetten

The food is very good. The map is very diverse and good. Also outside on the terrace very nice.

Was for the first time in this place, am totally enthusiastic!!!! Can only be recommended.

Good food at moderate prices. Friendly and competent service.

Family of 4 (teenage kids visited on a late July Friday evening, though we have also visited previously over the last 15 years while visiting the area on holiday. As with most Gasthaus' s in this part of the world the standards are pretty high. It's quite a large place, with large rooms for hire for conferencing or, on the evening we were there, for band/orchestra practice. It's also next to various sporting facilities and gets trade from people using these. Though there is a nice inside seating area we chose to sit outside as it was a warm evening, there is plenty of space and it was reasonably busy (but no need to book . Service was quick and the staff were pleasant. Drinks were lovely (but when isn't German beer lovely! , though they serve Augustiner beer rather than the fab locally brewed Aktien beer. Food was also excellent, we all had different dishes, all of which were great resulting in 4 clean plates (and good size portions . Really good value, obviously helped with the to € exchange rate at the moment. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area but would also point out the general quality in the area is of a high standard so you would be unlucky to go far wrong.

Super food at a really fair price. The menu is beautifully designed and clear, both meat dishes and vegetarian is great and you have a very nice view of the fields outside. Unfortunately, the sonnenhof will soon be demolished:
