Since when will a business not take $100 bill? Food was $40 dollars not like I’m asking for $85 in change. What a waste of space. I will not be returning to your store.
We walked in and found the atmosphere to be quite loud. The bread attendant was friendly, which was a nice start. However, when we reached the vegetable section, an employee asked my son a question, but he couldn't hear her clearly. When he responded with "What?" she made a rude remark, asking, "What do you want?" I managed to stay calm, even though I felt like correcting her behavior. Then, when she directed her snottiness towards me, I tapped into my 15 years of customer service experience and used my manager voice. With so many other dining options in Charleston and nearby locations, I observed that this restaurant, while busy, needs to reflect on its customer service. I couldn't help but think about how many other customers had to deal with the same attitude while we sat inside. The last employee we interacted with when we paid seemed to be more of a manager or supervisor; she was patient, kind, and demonstrated excellent customer service skills. My son was bothered by the previous employee's behavior and even mentioned it at the table. It’s important to recognize that her negativity isn’t our issue; it reflects her own challenges. Perhaps she could benefit from being addressed or retrained? Whatever the reason for her behavior—being overworked or training new staff—it's crucial for her to be heard. She is the face of your establishment. As for our meal, we experienced some dissatisfaction. The food was messy, and there was an excessive amount of sauce, making it less enjoyable. Our bill for two six-inch subs and two drinks came to $24, which felt steep for the quality we received. Unfortunately, after this experience, we won't be returning to this location. Thank you.
