Steak N Shake - Mattoon

We had asked if someone could take our job because we had special orders, they said that the kiosks were over there and turned around. there is no place to add article notes on the kiosk, so we had to go upstairs and tell them our special notes there was no clean table to find, we asked for a wut to wipe out a few tables and finally someone came out and just wiped off the tables we were sitting on. 5 of us got our food then 20 minutes later the other 3 and 1 of them was not edible nor was it conceivable. the bathroom I refused to use after the other girls told me about it. the only worker who was friendly was the very small girl with a white hat of any kind. the type in the blue plaid shirt did as he wanted to give our guy no refund. a girl tried to run to her car after she had ordered, waited for food and the guy cried to her when she got out, she couldn't get back in (it was after 11, that was when we found out lobby closed around 11)

Good food as expected. Same good quality. Menu has been downgraded for less items, so I was a bit disappointed there. Overall, it was good for what I ordered and I will be back.

Lorreta Hays night manager is the epitome of what you could ever want in a restaurant manager. The place was spotless all the employees were either cleaning,sanitizing,or grill with the food being perfect before coming to the table........if you look in my history I've never given a review this high. This company should have you district manager, I imagine all the stores COULD BENIFIT FROM YOUR IMPUT. I have never seen such customer service in my life coming from South Chicago........WAY TO GO LORRETTA

Horrible experience from beginning to end! I won't go back there again. They were rude when taking my order. My fries were extremely salty as was my burger. I feel that it was on purpose after the exchange while having my order taken. Very unsatisfied.

So very clean. The food was great. I was watching them work and they are such a good team. Very friendly people working there. They picked up our tray when we were done and cleaned the table when we left. Recommend this place to everyone.
