The dishes are carefully cooked but the confusion should be avoided, when too many people feel their quality. However, I have noticed an unjustified increase in the price to eat considering that on a fixed menu.
Mrs. Maria who gives the title to my review is the heart of the farm The refuge of bishops. His kitchen is that of the Umbrian cooks who with wisdom and passion make the kitchen a sacred place! Everything you will taste on his table will conquer you for genuineness and taste. Starting from the various appetizers and appetizing, depending on the seasons: bruschette with tartufo patè and chickpeas and fava potatoes, artichoke croquettes, salami and frittatine, text cake with cutlery, onion rings in batter. If you are lucky you can taste the pastry that takes its name from the farm: a real explosion of goodness difficult to match, but it will not go wrong even if you find the fettuccine to the ragù (regorously made by the gold hands of the lady herself). The meats, coming from their small breeding, will be the protagonists of the seconds: squid bark, roast chicken, pork fillet, accompanied by crispy potatoes and fresh salads! Special mention for desserts: we tasted a great tiramisu.
Great location for a trip out door.... Only sin that is not easily found! You eat well and quietly!
We've been there several times ago, but it's time to come back soon (also because we're close, eh! . I remember a wild boar to the amazing hunter. The owner also showed us the rooms, very nice and functional, and all the rest of the farm around, well maintained by you and Daniel. I highly recommend this place.
A real farm, which uses products of its own garden and its own stables and chickens and kitchens wisely, providing guests with spectacular lunches and dinners for quality and quantity. The mistress and cook is the quintessence of ancient peasant wisdom to the stoves. The pastry that takes (or gives the name to the local you can not take it more than mouth risking indigestion, also because you have already eaten appetizers made of excellent meats, fried bruschettes. Very good also chicken roasts and lamb. In some periods you can also find the lamb's knife, cooked to the pan with a bit of chili so good to take home with the bucket, and the fettuccine with the sauce to the chicken regattas (if you do not know what I am sorry for you, but you can fill the gap coming to eat here . Great also for a Sunday break starting from Rome and if you have exaggerated at dinner you can stay to sleep and maybe watch the spectacular passage of the pike and in the morning after a visit to Todi that is right there. It does not spend year that we do not stop at least once to forget with pleasure every calculation of calories.
