Teriyaki Town - Marysville

I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with this restaurant. The food was delicious and left a wonderful flavor on my taste buds. The portions were generous, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was incredibly kind. All of these positive aspects are why I will definitely return to Kyo Teriyaki Roll and recommend it to my friends and family. The employees made me feel like part of their family, which truly warmed my heart.

The sushi rice was unfortunately too mushy, resembling mashed potatoes more than actual rice. I ended up having to throw away all three rolls I ordered because of this. The yakisoba lacked flavor and was very bland. The gyoza was decent—it’s hard to go wrong with gyoza. Overall, the food was of relatively low quality for the price; I would suggest it was even below food court standards. Given the low quality, the prices should be less than half of what they currently are. I don’t plan on returning and would advise others to avoid this place.

However, about a year ago, something changed. I'm not sure if it was new management or ownership, but the food has significantly improved. They no longer charge for extra sauce and are always very friendly, making sure to offer sodas with meals. The katsu sauce has also gotten way better. My favorite dish is the cashew chicken, and the best part is that they are open on Sundays!

Kyo Teriyaki has some amazing teriyaki! I got the Spicy Chicken and Beef with no rice (extra salad). They always are sure that each plate is completely full, they don't skimp on the meat. This is my go-to place when I'm in Marysville! Always friendly and fast service. I highly recommend checking out Kyo if you're looking for some good quality teriyaki at a very reasonable price.

The food was not bad, but the service was. I and my family came first to order only to wait half an hour without having any food while other customers who came later already had their food on the table. When we asked about it, the clerk told us it was because our order took longer to cook than other customers'. Even then, we should have been noticed BEFORE other customers, because we came in BEFORE.
