No, it wasn 't enough for me to feel fully convinced. Also, why is it next to a Holiday Inn? I had a lot of... prejudice : I eventually visited on a hot summer day out of desperation for some naengmyeon. The place was packed but the line wasn 't too bad if you indicate that you 're not getting kbbq. When I saw the crushed ice in the broth, I became a lot more hopeful. The first bite kinda... healed me? They use wasabi oil instead of the traditional mustard, which I actually LOVED. Broth was nice and fresh. Noodles are the buckwheat kind that I prefer too. I do wish they use Korean pear instead of melons, but knowing that I can get good naengmyeon in freaking Marysville made me very very VERY happy. I 've since visited many times. Had a lot more naengmyeon and other stuff. Even took my parents here (they approved BTW . Service is always so great here and even after not visiting for a while, they would still remember us--I feel like it 's because of my Korean uncle palate LOL. Seeing this place being so popular makes me happy. Sometimes I found myself being some of the only Asian customers at the restaurant. It warms my heart seeing people of different cultures embracing Asian cuisine, even outside of the metropolitan areas. Please never go out of business :
The best service and delicious food Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My Husband and I were on our anniversary getaway weekend and stopped by upon the recommendation of our friend. We had the House Special which was for two people, but can actually feed FIVE adults?????????????????? Everything included in the House Special is delectable, tasty and scrumptious. I particularly enjoyed the delicious Spicy chicken and the Short ribs ???????????? The staff was very friendly, helpful, checked on us regularly, and gave us impeccable service. We will certainly be back.
First time doing Korean BBQ in my life and I will definitely be back! We got sat right away and got a hug salad bowl. Waitress did an excellent job of explaining the menu and the deals that are offered (free appetizer with the purchase of a meat combo, or two individual meat orders). If you and your significant other like the same meat, I'd recommend to only get one order of meat. Me and my wife each got our own order and we had SO MANY leftovers. I got the short ribs and she got the marinated beef. It's a great concept to cook your own food, as it feels more fulfilling, rewarding, and cooked exactly to your liking. They also give you so many side dishes to dip your cooked meat into. White rice is included in the meat order. We also got a chicken fried rice from the kitchen which had plenty of veggies in it too! We will definitely be coming back to this location! Very nice staff too. This place can be very affordable if you split a singular meat order and take advantage of the salad, white rice, and other sides.
Walking up to the restaurant I had no idea how stunning the interior is! Beautiful and comforting lighting, sleek black tabletops. Some tables have gas grills in the middle so guests can BBQ their food right there at their table. So many delicious menu items to choose from. I love the sweet spicy fried chicken. I also got to try their chicken fried rice. I had to ask for a side of the sweet and spicy sauce to add flavor that I was craving after trying a piece of the sweet and spicy chicken dish (separate from chicken fried rice).
