Overall, the fish and chips were pretty good. I found the overall value to be decent.

This time, I was extremely let down by the meal at the restaurant. The clams were overcooked and I informed the wait staff about the issue. They promptly made me a new dish, but unfortunately it was prepared the same way. I tried to eat some of them, but all I could taste was a burnt coating. Instead of requesting a refund on-the-spot, I decided to contact the company directly. Ivar's not only refunded my entire payment the next day, but also reached out to me with a gift card as a gesture of goodwill. I appreciate their prompt action in resolving the issue. My rating has increased from 1 star to 4 stars.

My wife ordered the salmon dish and I got the fish and chips. The fish and chips were amazing, but the chowder was a bit too salty for my taste. I asked the person at the front if I could swap the chowder for clam chowder, and he kindly accommodated our request even though it was not customary. The clam chowder was excellent. The man with the mullet who works at the counter and in the kitchen was extremely friendly and provided the best customer service we have ever received at a restaurant. We truly appreciated his hospitality, he made our day. We give this restaurant 10 out of 5 stars for their exceptional customer service.

I visited the restaurant on August 24, 2024 around 6:30 PM and ordered a Full Boat. The food was good overall, except for the Coleslaw which used to be sweeter. Unfortunately, they no longer bring your food to your table at this location. Every time I receive my food, the pieces of fish are very small, almost like calamari fingers. I noticed that another table ordered a 3 piece and their fish pieces were larger than mine. It's frustrating to have to go to the counter and complain every time to get the correct portion of fish that I paid for. The prices are also quite high and the customer service has deteriorated. It's important to serve the product correctly and provide the correct amount of fish in the order. Otherwise, customers will be unsatisfied and the business may suffer. I remember reading another review from two months ago where someone compared the small fish pieces to chicken tenders. My experience was similar and I wish I had taken pictures to show the discrepancy compared to the ones online with good reviews.

The seafood at this restaurant is delicious, especially the clam chowder made with fresh northwest ingredients.
