Hylton's Grill - Martinsville

I've been coming here for a few years now, and the quality of the food remains extremely high. The restaurant isn't much to look at (and is take out only during the pandemic) but generous portions and the beat home cooked flavor I've found outside if a home jeep me and my family coming back again and again. Joe does a wonderful job in every protein he offers, from pigs feet to ribs to brisket, and the sides are amongst the best I've ever had at a barbecue restaurant. The only negative is that sometimes you have to wait a few minute while he fixes your meal, but that's what calling ahead is good for! Without a doubt the best food in Henry County.

I had delicious smoked brisket with great greens,potato salad and honey biscuits. Right now it's take out only.

One of the best places in the area. The owner and his employee seem like a great guys, very friendly. Type of person feel good in support. I wanted to break my rule and evaluate it after the first trip. A place slacking on its sides. The pages I had can tell you that they put the same effort in them as they do the meat. I really can't recommend one thing because what I was so good I always want to try new things. If you drive down 220 bypass, it is not so far from the exit and it is worth it. You can have to eat it in your car when you travel, but not sit a bad car park. The worst thing is that you come home to eat it. It smells so good that you just want to pull and eat it. Just call and make sure they are open! It could be built and an event somewhere

We are not from VA and we were looking for a good BBQ to try while through. I'm so glad we found Hyltons!! We ordered the Bbq pig plate and the bbq sandwich and it was absolutely delicious!! The meat was juicy and tender and had a great taste! We had the Mac and cheese and potato salad, which was really good and my husband had the fries. The service was also top. The food didn't last long and the owner of the shop is a very nice man. 10/10 would recommend!

Tried the hot dog and was very good!! Fish, Mac cheese green. At the point we will visit again.
