Bracelet d' Argent - Marseille

Small family restaurant at by foot of the old harbor. The restaurant is held by a super friendly and warm Kabyle (algeria) family. The environment is average BUT, we had the best coucous ever (and we eat that very often), good meat, fine semoulina,...merguez are delicious, not greasy at all. Drink this with a rosé Boulaouane from Morocco. Try the home made flan. Super value for money. for persons for couscous, bottle of wine, home made flan. Avoid the restaurants in the touristic area down in the old harbor, make a detour and enjoy!

It is a small family restaurant near the Vieux Port in the heart of Marseille. If you love Couscous you will enjoy every bite. The service is wonderful but no English. Prices are low. Its a gem!

This restaurant is so good, perhaps I should have kept it a secret! Having looked at the harbour side restaurants and even been shown to a table at one where we were then duly ignored for over twenty minutes and other customers were still waiting...to be served we gave up and went in search of somewhere more off the beaten track. The Bracelet d' Argent is not far from the harbour. The menu looked promising and the food proved to be excellent. The service was attentive (and immediate). The atmosphere on the night we were there was excellent. if there is a downside, the Provencal Rose wine was a little disappointing, but drinkable none the less. The food is North African and of its type was simply first rate.

Questo ristorante ha il merito di essere gestito a livello familiare, quindi molto informale, economico e tradizionale. Il cous cous era davvero buono. La proprietaria per quanto svelta e attenta nel servizio ai tavoli, non è stata molto disponibile nei confronti di una mia richiesta. era l'ora di pranzo e dopo neanche un'ora saremmo saliti su una barca per un'escursione. Volevamo mangiare bene ma senza esagerare nelle quantità. Per questo ho chiesto se era possibile ordinare soltanto un piatto di couscous e magari aggiungere un antipasto o un dessert. la risposta è stata NO perché eravamo in due. Forse non è stato carino da parte nostra occupare un tavolo per ordinare così poco, ma a volte si hanno delle necessità. Morale della favola, abbiamo dovuto ordinare due porzioni di couscous che non finivano più. L'abbiamo lasciato un po' anche se era molto buono. Dunque, il giudizio è complessivamente positivo e consiglio questo posto per il couscous. Un pizzico di gentilezza in più non guasterebbe.
