Pas très loin de la gare St Charles mais un peu hors des sentiers battus tout de même, ce petit restaurant ne paie pas de mine mais mérite qu'on s'y arrête si l'on aime la cuisine malgache ou souhaite en découvrir les spécialités: romazava, sambos, godrogodro... N'hésitez pas à discuter avec la patronne si vous avez voyagé dans cette partie du monde!
SURPRISE for me, my family reserved my birthday in this restaurant because I have Malagasy origins of my great parents. We arrived in time, a big welcome with a smile and some little jokes from the boss who made you feel comfortable. We took a menu (because we let it do because my family usually comes from time to time. In the entrance a plate of varieties of small things with originality and delicious, a homemade rum breathtaking (vanilla, ginger cinnamon . Shame stopped me from taking him back... but what a scent! Then we had three different dishes: the vanilla duck, a ginger beef stew, and the famous dish with herbs that tickles the palate a little. A banana dessert and ice balls. And to conclude, the note was more than correct. Sincerely, I have nothing to say, I have immortalized the moment and I will come back with friends. Thank you for your kindness and skill! You deserve 5 * I even learned words in Malagasy say!!!!
Family restaurant and original cheap for noon or evening before 22h. Family Malagasy cuisine that you can only taste here, the specialties houses served after entries made of salads and deliciously crispy doughnuts. For me, it's an usual canteen. I've been living in the neighborhood for years. That's good, nice, cheap. the couple of patrons, welcoming and with a strong personality (it of Malagasy origin, it French) is worth the detour!
When a Malagasy wants to eat an original and family cuisine, he goes to Tatao! They are my Malagasy friends who advised me of this small structure without pretension, a humble cook who has the experience of the years and the conviviality to the height of his talent. It’s a pleasure for taste buds, no hesitation!
