Sampe's Pizza - Maroondah

One of the better pizza places around, pizzas are well made with plenty of toppings and nice base. No dine in but ring before you pick up. Parking can be a slight problem but it will be worth the time you take to find one. Nice friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Today I phoned at 5.57pm to order 2 pizzas for home delivery. I was advised there was a 50 minute wait. Not an issue as I am aware this is a busy time of day . 7.00pm no pizza. Phoned at 7.14 to enquire where my pizzzas were, was holding while they served other customers. Sorry not acceptable. If you are unable to assist and I have an issue with an order I am not concerned that others need to be served . Put me thru to a supervisor who can assist. I was then advised to phone again in 15-20 mins if pizzas had not arrived. Phoned at 7.32 while on the phone asking if someone can contact the driver, pizza arrived. It was not in an insulated bag and was just about cold. My husband requested egg on his large pizza which I paid extra for which was not there. Sorry Sampe's tonight was a total disgrace. I understand I phoned at a busy time, but that does not mean I should be subjected to sub standard service. Since moving to Mooroolbark 15 months ago I have ordered a number of pizzas from yourselves with next to no issues. This was woeful.

Quick service, excellent pizza and a decent price. Lots of choices for pizza in this area but Sampe's in my opinion is the best (and the busiest if that's any indication).

We have tried the pizza outlets in Lilydale and were recommended to Sampe's two years ago. Pizza is personal taste and we don't eat pizza every month, but when we do we eat at Sampe's. Great pizza options and toppings. They are not the cheapest pizza's in the area but they are the best.

As far as pizza places go this place is okThere's nothing extraordinary but nothing bad either.
