Yabbi's On The Esplanade - MAROOCHYDORE

My husband and I came her this last weekend. The food was amazing and the atmosphere never disappoints. We will be back many more times to come! Look forward to the new menu coming in this month.

We used a groupon voucher and specified this on the phone when placing a booking. Upon arriving at the restaurant and explaining we are using groupon the waitress said we don't get to order off this menu.. fair enough.The waitress returned and said we need to show our voucher to the owner, which is fine however, I had to go up to the bar to talk to the owner and felt she made me feel that using this voucher was an inconvenience, and not welcomed at all. The meals were tasteless and not like the picture! My chicken was supposed to be wrapped in prosciutto but wasn't and it honestly just look like it was slopped onto the plate. Furthermore, the homemade ice cream was terrible and frozen (in an icy way).We spent more than our voucher on extra bottles of wine and would have looked past the lack of presentation and taste with the food if it wasn't for the way the owner made us feel.Unfortunately will not be back or recommend.

We took our neighbour friends with us since we convinced them it was a lovely place to dine. As per expected it pleased our friends no end. The manager Kate ( she is helping out while the owner Jodhi takes a well earned break in Greece ) looked after us as if she was the owner and gave us service you could only describe as fabulous. The food as usual was first class and the four of us had a wonderful evening to say the least. We will certainly be going back as i'm sure our friends will. Keep up the good work and thank you Kate or everything.

We recently dined at Yabbi's to celebrate our son's 21st. We had a lovely night. All the meals were delicious and cooked perfectly. The calamari was to die for! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We thought it was a nice touch having local artists work displayed on the walls. We will definitely be dining there again when we are back on the Sunshine Coast!

Starters were excellent. Main of linguini with prawns was also excellent though the Barramundi was less tasty and somewhat overcooked. Portions small though enough for us. The service and ambience (outside) were very pleasant.
