The vegan Jackfruit nachos were probably the best I ever had, they even got the vegan cheese to melt on the corn chips and it was absolutely amazing. Loved the Guac, my son had the Guac and corn chips, while we all shared the nachos and also a Quesodilla and a Burrito. We were stuffed, but thought it was excellent nosh. We took away the vegan cookies for another time.
I was a bit sceptical at first cos Prickly's isn't a fully vegan establishment but I was really impressed that they had about 12 or so fully vegan options on their new vegan menu. I went with my partner and another friend and we are all big eaters so we ordered a few different things to share. The Ultimate vegan burrito bowl was a hit apparently it's the most popular dish on the new menu it has literally everything in it (except the animal stuff, of course! We also had the nachos with beans, salsa, cheese and guac. I'm not usually a fan of vegan cheese but the one they use was suprisingly yummy and melty and cheesy! We then had their vegan tacos with their own mexican style pulled jackfruit so good! My own personal fav was the enchilada though such a yummy combination of fresh flavours u can get it with or without vegan cheese as well. If you're in the mood for mexican this place is definitely worth checking out. It's definitely the most vegan friendly Mexican place on the coast I'd say.
This restaurant offers a full vegan menu that is absolutely delicious! The dishes are outstanding. The only disappointment was the lack of vegan red wine available.
The portion sizes were small and the flavors were lacking, despite the fact that the restaurant offered a decent selection of vegan dishes. However, the menu seemed uninspired and repetitive, featuring the same basic ingredients commonly found in Mexican cuisine. We were disappointed to discover that we had to pay extra for a sauce that was meant to elevate our meal, but ultimately did little to improve the overall dining experience. The restaurant even boasted about making the sauce in-house, but we couldn't help but wonder what exactly was in it, possibly xanthan or cornflour.
The vegan menu offers a wide range of options, including vegan cheese. This is definitely the best Mexican restaurant I have tried on the coast.
