The Chicken Place - Marlin

The ladies here were friendly and helpful. The fried chicken here reminded me of Maw maws in Louisiana. The potatoes and the engraving cost extra, but it was worth completing the meal. Only chicken stables in town, so it is the best (standard).

I liked the food and the prices were fair. all were happy to work there. It was really clean. the big dining room I didn't expect. Banquet style. blue bell ice in the freezer I will go back here and I am picky. probably next week

Very well-fried chicken and tender. Potato salad was very good. Wife and I will definitely go through our bikes the next time!

Sunday Fried Chicken after church! Woohoo! Chicken was crispy tasty. Hubby had the 3 piece meal (breast, leg, thigh, mashed potatoes, country gravy, fries a roll and I had the 2 piece meal (thigh and wing, mashed potatoes, country gravy, corn on the cob a roll . Both meals were good. Chicken was crispy and moist. The thighs in both meals were a little greasy than our taste but the other pieces were great. I would have preferred a little more seasoning in the breading. Corn on the cob was juicy, no additional butter was needed and I got the last one available, so obviously an item in demand. Staff was friendly, and the inside was clean, including the ladies restroom .There is a small banquet hall in the back for large meeting parties (up to 50? and they also offer catering. Ice cream and cobbler are also available for dessert. I will stop by again when I am coming through town on business, plenty of room for parking, including large trucks on the side of the restaurant.
