It was only $62 (originally $90) since it was a promo which looks to still be available as of the time of posting. There's a good mix of sashimi, sushi and maki rolls and the premium pieces were the uni sushi, scallop and sweet shrimp sashimi. The fish was fresh and the portions are very generous with thick cuts of sashimi (almost too big tbh). In terms of improvement, some of the rolls were a bit sloppy and loose in how they were rolled, and the rice was a touch too vinegar-y and overcooked. This is primarily a takeout spot but there are a few high top tables for you to eat. Service was friendly.
I was looking to try a new restaurant and stumbled upon Sushi Master on SkipTheDishes. This small restaurant is located in the Hwy 7/Kennedy plaza on the southeast corner of the intersection. There were some tables for dine-in if you're not looking to order takeout. I got the Torch Salmon Dragon Maki and Tiger Shrimp (Ebi) Sushi. Took about 35 mins for my order to be ready for pick-up. When I arrived, the staff mentioned she included complimentary soup in my order. Overall, I liked the taste of the torch sushi, it was still hot and fresh when I got a chance to take my first bite. The breading on the tempura shrimp was not as good. In terms of the size of the rolls, they were a little bigger than I would have liked and not cut properly. I would give this place a chance again in the future as they have good customer service.
Absolutely love this place for my sushis craving. Definitely recommend it, i can add value for money for the great quality of sushis they offer.
Went here with a friend and got their sashimi, maki platter of 40 something pieces. The price wasn't too bad, pretty standard for a middle-end sushi place. At first I was pleased with the proportions the sashimi was in, although I personally would've preferred a little thinner, and the maki seemed packed with filling. Taste-wise, the salmon was decently fresh and the sauce and filling of the maki were complimented quite nicely. However, certain pieces of sashimi such as their white tuna were definitely not fresh. Personally, I would recommend not getting their sashimi platters but I would highly recommend their maki.
I was ready to give up on eating sushi during this time because nothing was satisfying my craving. This was actually the last sushi order I was going to make until restaurants opened up again and thank goodness I chose this one. Since that day, they've become my go to takeout sushi place. I just find the quality of their food better than the other places I've tried. I always get the sushi maki platter and a roll. I haven't had any issues with them being slow (I've only ever ordered on Uber eats) and it's nicely packaged. They usually add a complimentary spicy salmon roll so that's always nice.
