I had the spicy basil chicken rice noodle dish and had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. I would have preferred more on the dessert menu. All in all it was tasty and we would go back.
The restaurant itself is in a good location and nice inside. Music was a little loud, especially at lunch time.Everyone seemed to like their food but no one was blown away. The menu has lots of choices, but almost too many...do better with less then just ok with more.Waiter was not that attentive either.Overall if you want an ok or even maybe up to a good meal and you want a selection for a group of people...not a bad choice. Nothing wrong with the place...just was not super impressed.
I wrote a critical review of Milestones in its old location way back in 2012. Said we wouldn't be back, and we weren't.But, to be fair, thought we'd give the new location a try.Not very good. They seemed surprised to have customers walk in at 5pm on a weekday.First, seated us at a table in blazing sun. We asked to move, they accommodated. Then we waited for a server. And waited. Finally ... ordered some wine. Then waited. And waited.Meantime noticed it was 'date night' with special pricing on a few apps and mains. The calamari was pretty much cold when it arrived. The steaks were tasteless. And barely warm. Came out before we were half finished our app.And not prepared to order. Then it took forever to get the cheque ... and we had an award ceremony we were going to and thought we'd allowed LOTS of time to travel the couple of blocks to it.Then she took forever to bring the machine so we could pay. Here we go again ... we won't be back. Lots of other great places to eat in Markham!
We were a party of 4 here for dinner. We had made reservations via Open Table and even called earlier to ask if we can have a table on patio since it's a nice day - it all worked out. However the food is a bit disappointing. We got: a California strawberry salad, a miso cod, a pasta bolognese and a prime rib. We've been going to various milestone locations for prime rib now and this location's prime rib was not up to par - even though the meat was still tender but it was quite dry. The miso cod came with too much sauce on the rice. And the salad portion was quite small. The pasta bolognese was the best out of all so if I ever come back I might order that again.
They have a large patio and there is lots of parking. Their gluten free choices are quite extensive. Service was very good. Lots of tables. We asked for a quieter table since we had work to do and the accommodated.
