First they gave us a soup instead of a curry so we had to come back and the server quickly switched it out for me. Everything was okay until I opened my food. I got half portions for everything I ordered and I didn’t even get enough curry for half of the half portion. Very disappointing, the location in pmall is so much better! Even the quality of the food was very different.
I stopped by Gyugyuya when visiting Pacific Mall for lunch. Still many tables in the food court are taped up and unusable due to social distancing, so make sure you have seating before you order! I ordered the Gyu Cheese Curry and Takoyaki on the side. It was quick to be made, and overall was good. Some parts of the meal were cold like the hard-boiled egg, but the beef and cheese mixture was good but a little plain. I think the Takoyaki was my fav put of this meal, which says something about the Gyu Cheese Curry. I would visit the other Gyugyuya locations over this food court location, but overall not bad for a quick lunch.
This location lacks the quality control the other GTA stores have. With much better options in the food court, you will likely only need to try this place once to decide it's not worth coming back again.
Eating in food court is okay, takeout is a nightmare. ? If you can't properly package then take off damn soup. Putting the small containers of soup and salad on bottom may be convenient and fast for you but for customers having the heavy main dishes on top continuously sliding lopsided causing soup to spill and ruin utensils napkins and all at bottom is not a good takeout experience.? Too bad I came near closing time. Urge customers to take the time and open bag to rearrange the whole thing before your meal gets ruined. ?
