Chateau O'brien At North Point

The customer service and wine selection here are outstanding. The owner was extremely welcoming, and the staff member who conducted our tasting was very knowledgeable. The blueberry apple wine was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place!

Of the four wineries we visited in the area this weekend, everyone in our group agreed that Chateau O’Brien was the best! We made a reservation in advance, as suggested on their website, and upon our arrival, we found a private table set up for us, complete with everyone's flight of wines and a small plate for each of us to enjoy. I regret that I can't remember the name of the gentleman who conducted our tasting (he mentioned he recently moved to Maryland and hosts tastings on the weekends), but he was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable and incredibly personable, which made our experience so much fun! Additionally, the views from the winery are stunning. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I visited in mid-November with a group, and unfortunately, we found the owner to be quite unfriendly. We regularly explore different wineries each month, but I can honestly say we won't be returning to this one, as we didn't feel welcomed at all.

The tasting house is housed in a beautifully renovated farmhouse that is over a century old. The back deck offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. When we visited, we were the only group there, but the spacious deck ensures that it won't feel crowded, even during busier times. I wholeheartedly recommend this winery for both its inviting atmosphere and excellent wines. Be sure to try the 2019 Tannat Limited Reserve for a superb red, and don’t miss the 2017 Ice Apple Wine, which is a wonderfully crisp dessert option. The only drawback is the limited food offerings, so come prepared. Also, make sure to inquire about their VIP club and any special events they may have.

This is my favorite winery in the entire world! Their blueberry apple wine is simply the best, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
