Hobing specializes in bingsu, originally called patbingsu. This traditional Korean dessert consists of finely shaved ice sweetened with condensed milk and topped with various toppings such as fruits, nuts, sweets, or pastries. Some variations even include ice cream or yogurt on top.
We are not really fans of Korean cuisine, but when our craving for dessert struck, we decided to break from our usual routine and try out Hobing in SM Marikina. We had previously visited Hobing in Eastwood and it was a hit. The restaurant is spacious, well air-conditioned, and has a cool stony ambiance, making it a great place to hang out with friends. The bingsu desserts are consistently large and worth the price. The unique combination of flavors and aromas in the bingsu is exceptional, creating surprising results when certain ingredients are combined over shaved ice. It's a perfect way to end a meal. While I didn't have a chance to try everything on the menu, I would definitely love to in the future. Overall, we would highly recommend Hobing. Food: 4/5, Ambiance: 4/5, Service: 4/5, Value for Money: 4.5/5. We may even consider writing a blog post about our experience soon!
