Smitty's Lockdown Barbecue - Marietta

This place is a favorite with my family! We came here on a whim 2 years ago while on vacation, and we vowed to come back ever since then. We did so yesterday, and they didn’t disappoint at all.I got the pulled pork, which came with the Texas toast , and 2 sides The Collard Greens and Brunswick Stew. The meat was really great, and I’m definitely glad I got the stew to go with it. Combined with the toast it makes a greeeeeat sandwich.Smitty’s got great barbecue sauces that treu make in House. Everyone’s real nice but I can’t lie, the AC was leaking where I was, so I got another seat. Not a problem for me tbf. Goooo here ?

By far my favorite BBQ place. Their sauces take the cake. We love their Vegan Pork which we topped with their vegan slaw and the triple S sauce ? . 10/10. Toast was perfection. The peach cobbler was also tasty! Will be back with friends.Food: 5/5

First time visitor! I would pass by and smell the BBQ smoker and see all the cars in the parking lot so I had to check it out. I’ve been let down by BBQ before, but a busy parking lot is usually a good sign.I walked in and placed an order to go. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on an order. There is a LOT of choices, from meats to sides and beyond.I chose the Sampler which comes with 3 meats, 2 sides, and Texas Toast.Pulled pork, brisket, and ribs turned out to be a great choice. The photo crops out some of the food but the portions were great. The meat just falls off the ribs. The pulled pork separates very well. There was no gristle in the brisket. I probably won’t be able to choose between the three next time and might have to get them all again.The broccoli was great! Fresh broccoli lightly charred it’s the perfect side.The collards were a little bland for my taste. The menu describes their flavor as subtle, which was my experience. I like to taste vinegar, heat, and meat with my collards so they’re definitely something I’d add sauce to own my own.Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for quality service and food.

Absolutely wonderful establishment to deal with. We had a large group to feed at the last minute. They were wonderful, Even adjusting the quantities the same day. Barbecue is one of the best in the area. We definitely recommend the brisket!!!!Food: 5/5
